RMA Request

In order to return a iriver product for in-warranty service, following procedure should be used.

IMPORTANT: iriver will not accept any returns without RMA Number.

This service is applicable only for iriver products purchased in Europe.

Exceptions are made prior to notice.

RMA Request

Online: Go to RMA Request Form below

  • Include your personal data (Name, full address, telephone, email address, etc).
  • Indicate the model (type) and serial number of the Player, as well as date of purchase.
  • Give a complete fault description, preferable in the English or German language.
  • Select the procedure of your choice (Return for Repair, Return for Exchange).
  • By using the RMA request, the user confirms to understand and accept the terms and conditions as described in the Service Policy.

Return Authorisation
  • After receipt of the RMA request by iriver, a confirmation and authorisation message will be communicated.
  • This document will contain:
  • A RMA number (which is your reference number)
    • Your personal data (please check them carefully for any mistakes)
    • The Player's data (please check them carefully for any mistakes)
    • The problem description (may be summarized)
    • The address where the product should be sent

Shipment
  • The returning material must be decently packed (original packing is preferred). Please return only the defective item(s) (no accessories like cables, Adaptors, CDs, manuals). iriver is not responsible for other products or accessories returned with the defective item.
  • The RMA number must be marked on the outside of the box.
  • If possible, you should remove or make a backup copy of any data stored on the product prior to shipping the product to iriver. All data could be deleted from the product during repairs. iriver is not responsible or liable for any data stored on the product that is lost, deleted, or is otherwise inaccessible.

Service
  • After receipt of the returning material, iriver will service the product as indicated on the original RMA request, and return it within the shortest time by courier.

In order to obtain a valid RMA number, please use the following request form.

Applying for a RMA-number
Fill out the RMA-request-form on our homepage www.iriver.com/eu, confirm the acceptance of the RMA-policy and send the request.
You will receive a reply with a generated RMA-number under which you are allowed to send in iriver products.
The RMA-number is given under reserve that the players physically have been checked and finally confirmed by iriver Europe GmbH.
